Who We Are
Guidance for life's most important decisions
After 55, the questions get bigger — and more personal. What care do you want if you can no longer decide? What happens to your home, your savings, the people who depend on you? Who carries your story forward?
PeopleView was founded to give people the time, space and expert guidance to answer those questions clearly and confidently — before a crisis makes them urgent.
We don't sell products. We don't rush. We listen, guide and stay with you throughout.

People Know They Should Plan
Most people know they should plan, but
very few actually do.
The numbers are striking — and sobering. Despite nearly universal agreement that planning ahead is important, the majority of people over 55 arrive at the most consequential years of their lives without the documents, decisions or conversations that would protect them and the people they love.

The Numbers

of Canadian adults have no will — leaving their families without legal direction and their wishes unprotected. Narrative Research / Angus Reid Institute, 2023–2024

of Canadians do not have a will that reflects their current circumstances — either missing entirely or significantly out of date. Epilogue Wills / LegalWills.ca Research

of Canadians do not have a complete estate plan — only 15% have documented their full wishes for asset distribution and care. Ipsos / RBC Insurance Survey, 2024

of Canadians aged 55 and older have not appointed a power of attorney — leaving critical decisions to chance in a health crisis. NIA / RBC Royal Trust Report, 2023

of Canadians do not update their will after a major life change — marriage, new home, health diagnosis or the death of a spouse. IG Wealth Management / Pollara, 2023

is expected to transfer from baby boomers to the next generation in Canada over the next decade — most without a plan in place. National Institute on Ageing / RBC, 2023
"By 2030, nearly one in four Canadians will be over 65. Yet the majority still have no will, no power of attorney, and no documented plan for the years ahead."
— Statistics Canada / National Institute on Ageing, 2024

Our Methodology
The Hepworth
Planning Model
Most advisory services treat life planning as a checklist — documents to sign, boxes to tick. Our founder, Gary Hepworth, saw it differently.
After years in the field he developed a methodology built on a single conviction: that lasting plans come from deeply understanding a person's life, not just their assets.
The Hepworth Planning Model puts the whole person at the centre — their relationships, values, fears and hopes — before any document is drafted or decision is made. The result is a plan that actually holds, because it was built around a real life.
Every PeopleView advisor is trained and certified in the Model, ensuring a consistent, human-centred experience no matter who you work with.

We begin with your story — your relationships, what you've built, what you value — before any legal or financial conversation starts.

Legal, financial, care and legacy decisions are treated as one interconnected plan — not siloed advice from separate professionals.

Your plan doesn't exist in isolation. We help you think through how your decisions will land with the people you love, and how to communicate them clearly.

Life changes. The Hepworth Approach builds in regular review points so your plan stays current — not a document drafted once and forgotten.
"Remember....If you don't have a plan, someone else will be planning for you"
- Gary Hepworth - Founder & Principal Advisor
What About Others?
What about mom & dad?
You're thinking about your own life plan when.... there comes a moment — sometimes quietly, sometimes suddenly — when you realize the people who always had the answers need you to help find them. Maybe it was a health scare, a forgotten appointment, or simply a conversation that ended with more questions than you started with.
Whatever brought you here, you're already doing something loving: you're thinking ahead. Planning for an aging parent isn't about taking over their life — it's about making sure their wishes are known, their dignity is protected, and your family isn't left guessing during the moments that matter most.
We're here to help you start that conversation, and walk through it together.

Our Advisors
People who've walked this path themselves
Our team combines legal, financial, social work and counselling backgrounds — because the questions our clients face don't respect professional boundaries. We use a number of professionals in the creation of your plan and can co-ordinate with any of your existing providers that you may already have in place.

Gary Hepworth
Founder & Principal Advisor
In late 2021, the principals at Hepworth & Associates, a well respected advisory group to seniors across Canada, decided to expand its approach to providing solutions to their clients.
It was clear that with those of retirement age, and older, were living much longer than their parents generally did, and that there was much more "runway" in life to plan for.
Gary is:
-
Certified as a Certified Cognitive Coach
-
Certified as a Elder Planning Counsellor
-
